Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement. Coming up this Saturday Feb. 16, you can help a local group with their Relay for Life efforts at the First Christian Church.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri had their huge event, An Evening of Heart and Hope, on Saturday (February 8). I got to go and it was a hugely fancy event with lots of laughs, love and helping hands.

We've been talking almost non-stop about the big fundraising dinner and auction for the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri. An Evening of Heart and Hope is finally here this Saturday (Feb. 8) and you'd better get your tickets as soon as possible!

We've been talking with Matt LaCasse and the gang from the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri every week now for a while, reminding you about the upcoming Evening of Heart and Hope.  I think it's an important way for us in Sedalia to give back to the ones in our community who need it: our kids.

The Guest Speaker at the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Breakfast today (Dec. 12) was Matt LaCasse of the Boys & Girls Club of West Central Missouri. The main topic of LaCasse’s speech was centered on the organization's fundraising efforts for 2014.

On Tuesday night (Nov 26), I was lucky enough to participate in the Child Safe Dessert Auction at the Celebration Center in Sedalia. It was a great event that raised over $5,000 for the Child Safe program of Central Missouri.

This year I promised Carolyn Green of Child Safe that I would bake something for the celebrity dessert auction this year. Usually I'm away for the Thanksgiving Holiday and wouldn't be able to bake something. This year I'm sticking around Missouri and decided that a good ol' apple pie would be the way to go. SEDALIA, Mo. - WK Chevrolet will be the title sponsor for the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s annual “An Evening of Heart & Hope” fundraising auction for 2014. As title sponsor, WK will make a financial contribution to the Club and serve as an advocate for the Club in the community.

Our Bids for Bargains auction is running from Monday, November 18 through Thursday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m., and our entire auction will be run online at seizethedeal.com.  You'll be able to place your bid on any item at any time!  As always, we'll have some great items available for purchase throughout the week in addition to the items up for bid.
