It has been six years since the Bruce in the Morning Show went on the air at KIX 105.7. A lot has happened since then. I've met a lot of great people and built some lasting friendships. I've also built some great business relationships. One of the people that can say he's both is Dale Malone.

Dale opened Malone's on Main in Sedalia around the same time I got to town. We quickly formed a promotional partnership that turned into friendship. That partnership continued when Malone's became Rumour's and is still going strong at Daisy Dukes & Cowboy Boots.

I like to consider myself a proud alumnus of the University of Central Missouri. Although the name changed from when I was a student there, it still feels like a second or even third home to me. Whether you were a student of Central Missouri State University or University of Central Missouri as it is now known, I think you can recognize a lot of the buildings and remember things from your past that took place there

Kix Brooks admits he was hesitant to agree to a September 11 release of his new album, 'New to This Town.' The singer didn't want to be difficult, but he didn't think the mood of his first solo album in 23 years matched what he thought the nation would be feeling on the 11th anniversary of the New York City and Washington D.C. terrorist attacks. In the end, he decided he was wrong, leaning on a decision he and Ronnie Dunn made just days after the original tragedy.
