Kenny Chesney has been confirmed for this year’s annual Farm Aid concert, with the superstar performer joining an already star-studded lineup — including co-founder Willie Nelson — for the popular benefit event.

Country music doesn’t only live within the United States. The official countdown for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards is on,with the Canadian Country Music Association announcing the nominees this week. The awards show will take place at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon on Sept. 9 at 8PM ET.

Willie Nelson, along with rockers Dave Matthews, Neil Young and John Mellencamp, will headline and host this year’s annual Farm Aid Music Festival, which will take place at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Penn. on Sept. 22.

The summer heatwave comes a with a splash of country music before the days grow shorter and the kids return to school. The new country music releases for August 2012 are no exception. While July had so many country superstars with new country music releases that it was difficult to decide where to spend your money, August has just four that look promising.

The country music went world wide in June 2012. Stars tweeted from all over, including during trips to London, Australia and from the audience of the CMT Music Awards in Nashville. Tickets to concerts and events at the Missouri State Fair go on sale starting at noon today at the box office, located on the fairgrounds in Sedalia.  Also available are $6 advanced gate admission tickets, and $20 Governor’s Ham Breakfast tickets, which include gate admission.  Box office hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and during the Fair 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
