Keith Urban Announces 2013 World Tour
It might seem like Keith Urban has been a bit quiet lately, but that’s not actually the case. For the past few months, the Australian country star has been hanging out on his home soil filming the Aussie version of ‘The Voice.’ But Urban just announced that when filming for the show wraps in January, he’s heading back out on tour, and he’ll be kicking off his next run Down Under.

Compared to June, there are relatively few new country music releases in July 2012, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any albums worth being excited about. One Nashville trio will make their debut, while a country duo returns after a change in record labels. There’s also a legend and a perennial award nominee releasing new country projects in July.

I had the opportunity to head out to the Missouri State Fairgrounds for the 2012 Pettis County Relay for Life Friday night (June 8).  This year, 26 teams participated in taking turns walking around a track for 12 hours to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  Each team had  a campsite that was decorated.  They also used them for fundraising.

Tke Knob Noster Fair goes through June 9, and each day is full of activities.  Last night, (June 7), the Knob Noster Fair really got into full swing with the Grand Parade that stretched down the main drag, with more floats, classic cars, motorcycles and political candidates than in recent years.

The country supergroup took the stage halfway through the 2012 CMT Music Awards to perform Nelson’s ‘Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die.’

The 2012 Pettis County Relay For Life is set to take place this Friday on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. In this event, teams are formed and they raise funds through pledges and other fund raising events leading up to the relay.  On Saturday night starting at 6, walkers will take turns going around the track for 12 hours.
