St. Paul's Lutheran Church will present the 13th Annual Living Last Supper and Living Crucifixion in Sedalia on March 27 and 28.

Event organizer Ruth Schlomer says the annual event features a tableau, based off Leonardo DaVinci's famous painting of the Last Supper.

Each person in the tableau is frozen in place until they are ready to speak their lines. The actors portray the Disciples and give responses from their own perspective, after Christ says "Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me."

Schlomer noted the Living Crucifixion is similar, with the Disciples giving their thoughts about the crucifixion. In between, musical group Faith in Action will perform, with stylized movement set to music.

The event takes place in St. Paul's Lutheran Church gymnasium, with free admission. Schlomer says offerings will be accepted.

The Living Last Supper and Living Crucifixion will be held March 27 and 28. The doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the production beginning at 7:00 both nights.
