Mondays can often be a bit of a bother.  It just gets a little harder every week to get out of bed at a decent time and head out to work, doesn't it?  Even though I have a great job, and I really like what I do and the people I work with, it doesn't make that bed get any less comfortable.

So what do you do on days like that?  Do you treat yourself a little?  Sometimes when I want to make sure I have a good day, I'll dress up a little.  It makes me feel better to feel like I made an effort, you know? Most of the time I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda lady, and luckily for me that's not an issue with the job here.  But today, for example, I wore a dress!

It looks like this, only it's in a green color, and not blue.  I bought it online and I'm always looking on the site, modcloth.com, because I just love looking at stuff that will never fit me and also looking at other things I can't afford.

Most of the time I don't indulge in fancy or expensive clothes.  Most of the time I dress not unlike a tomboy.  But today I made an effort,  I put on the heels and put on a dress and went in to try to get things started right.

In fact, I have started to make it a point this year to wear a dress or a skirt once a week.   I have dresses, I have skirts, and I have pretty things that I can wear, I just need to kind of force myself to do it.  I guess it's an effort to be less lazy?  I know a lot of people have to dress up or look "professional" all the time so they probably envy my ability to be lazy.

When people tell me about their "casual Friday" days, I always take a second to myself and wonder, "Is that what I was wearing Tuesday?"  'Cause most of the time it is.   I should be more diligent in my attempts to dress nicely.

What about you?  Do you have to wear a uniform or have a certain look in your work?  When you're off the clock and at home, what's your "comfy wear" like?  What do you do to get yourself out of the blergs?

Dressily yours,

Behka
