Smithton Woman Injured in Rollover Accident

A Smithton woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred this morning in Pettis County on Highway 65.

Leticia Teiberis, 49, Smithton was southbound on Highway 65 north of 765 at 7:37 a.m. when the Missouri Highway Patrol said she was traveling too fast for the conditions, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

Teiberis was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries. The Patrol said she was wearing a safety device. The 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt she was driving had moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.

The Patrol was assisted by Sedalia Police and the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.
