Smith-Cotton High School senior Jordan Lawson on Wednesday, Nov. 16, signed a Letter of Intent to play soccer at State Fair Community College.

Lawson, a forward, is a four-year varsity player for the Tigers who has been an All-West Central Conference and First and Second Team All-District selection, as well as an Honorable Mention All-State pick over his career.

“Jordan has been an important part of the soccer program the last four years,” said S-C boys soccer Head Coach Ethan Weller. “I am looking forward to seeing him grow and develop at the next level.”

Eddie Horn, SFCC men’s soccer head coach, said: “We’re thrilled to have Jordan join us. He has been a tremendous player for Smith-Cotton. He is athletic and has a nose for the goal. Probably the biggest thing I like about Jordan is his competitiveness. He doesn’t like to lose, and that definitely is a quality we are going to need as we go forward.”
