Tiny libraries were installed around Sedalia recently, thanks to the Smith-Cotton High School National Honor Society chapter.

A press release from Sedalia 200 says that NHS students Makenna Steger, McKenna Woolery and Alyson Talbott, along with adviser Lorin Blackburn Thierfelder, installed two of the three libraries with the help of Sedalia 200 maintenance crew members on Wednesday (Apr 4).

One library went up by the big tree at Smith-Cotton Junior High and one is downtown at the old gazebo, which will later be incorporated into the new park planned for the Downtown area.

Another tiny library will be installed at Horace Mann Elementary at a later date.

The libraries are part of a chapter service project, led by Steger.
