Yesterday (July 28), we reported that 34-year-old Brian Young had turned himself in voluntarily into Sedalia Police for his involvement in the shooting of Andrew Meyers on Friday in Sedalia. Young pleaded that he shot Meyers in self defense and the Prosecuting Attorney Philip Sawyer was reviewing the charges.
The investigation is still continuing on, but Young was released last night and may still face charges of second degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
