SFCC Theatre Arts Program Presents “Afterlife: A Ghost Story”
SEDALIA—The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts Program will present Steve Yockey’s drama “Afterlife: A Ghost Story” Feb. 25 through March 1 in the Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre in Yeater Learning Center, Room 126, on the Sedalia campus.
“Afterlife” follows married couple Connor and Danielle as they prepare their beachfront home for an impending storm. When the storm rolls in faster than expected, it may be too late for them to escape the haunting world of unsent letters, unexpected snow, unfinished sandcastles, unrelenting birds, and the unforgettable loss of their child that threatens to swallow the pair forever.
The performance is rated PG13; it contains adult themes.
Regular performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25-28; admission is $6. Tickets are $15 for a Feb. 28 dinner theatre in the Yeater Learning Center lobby; dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Special group rates are available for both regular performances and dinner theatre. The dinner theatre menu is available by calling the Box Office at (660) 596-7387 from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Wheelchair seating is available upon request.
A student matinée will be presented at 1 p.m. Feb. 26. A matinée for the public will be presented at 2 p.m. March 1. Anyone 60 or older will be admitted free.
Becky Keightley Scott, costumer and adjunct instructor, will direct the show.
