The weather has been pretty good this weekend and it looks like a lot of people took advantage of it, but it looks like we may end on a wet note according to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill.

SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS
MUCH OF THE AREA. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY
SEVERE WEATHER HAZARDS.

DUE TO RECENT HEAVY RAINFALLS AND SATURATED SOILS...ANY ADDITIONAL
HEAVY RAINFALL IN THESE SENSITIVE AREAS WILL LEAD TO THE POTENTIAL
FOR FLASH FLOODING.

The rest of the afternoon and into Monday could even bring a small chance at a tornado, according to Sedalia/Pettis County EMA Director David Clippert.

Pettis County is in a Slight Risk for Severe weather today. Slight means Scattered Severe Storms Possible. Breaking that down: 5% chance of a tornado, 15% chance of high winds (58 MPH or higher) and a 15% chance of large hail (1 inch or larger). Timing on this could be as early as 3 PM and may continue into early Monday morning.

We'll update you with the forecast with Weathereye updates twice an hour and when severe weather breaks, we'll keep you informed.
