The Mid Mo Antique Power Association will have their annual antique tractor, engine, and farm machinery show.

It will take place September 27 and 28 at the Saline County Fairgrounds in Marshall.  The show is held in conjunction with the Missouri State Corn Husking Championship.  Admission is free, exhibitors are welcome.  For more information, contact Harold Eddy at 660-634-2708.

After Work Sip & Shop Event  will be happening downtown at the VFW on Friday September 27th from 3pm-9pm.

Admission will be $3 unless you bring in items to be donated to CASA then admission will be only $2.  With your admission, you get wine tastings,booth shopping, food samples, and chances to win prizes.  Items that we will be accepted for the CASA donation to offset your admission cost by $1. Donation items that will be taken include: non-perishable food, toiletries, paper towels, feminine products, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, linens, clothing, household items childrens clothing, toys, books, diapers, formula, baby wipes and more.  Call Leslee for more information at 660-826-1050.

There will be a PTO Craft & Business Show on September 28th. 

It’ll begin at 7:00 a.m. and continue until 4:00 p.m. at the Northwest Pettis R-V High School in Hughesville.  Free Parking, and admission is a Free Will Donation! Drawing for prizes from Vendors every hour!
On Saturday, September 28 the State Fair Strutters chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federations will host a Sportsmans Challenge.
 This will consist of four events: 22 caliber targets, shotgun clay  pigeons, 3D targets, and a pop up blind relay.  Entry fees are $100 per three person team.  All funds raised go towards the chapter’s Scholarship Fund as well as several of the chapter’s youth programs.  There is $1000 dollars in money and prizes for the top three teams.  There will also be a number of events for kids which are all free like archery, and a casting event.  If you don’t have a team, there are individual events such as trap and archery  for cash and prizes. Come out to the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club on Saturday, September 28.  Events will start at 8:00 a.m. and registration ends at 11:00 a.m. Events will continue until 4:00 p.m.  For more information, contact Chuck Mattingly at 660-827-0758
The Sedalia Regional Airport at 1900 East Boonville Road in Sedalia will have their Breakfast Fly In and Air show. 
Starting at 9:00 a.m. we’ll have Helicopter rides with KMBC Channel 9′s Johnny Rowlands.  Only $40 a person and new this year, fly a helicopter simulator which is only $10 for 5 minutes. The Chris Cakes All You Can Eat breakfast will start at 8:00 a.m. and goes until 11:00 a.m. with pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee.  The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.  Starting at 10:00 a.m. they will have hot dogs, chips and pop available for $1 each.  The Team Vortex Airshow will begin at 10:00 a.m.  The Kansas City Dawn Patrol will have a replica WWI aircraft on display.  The Air Evac Lifeteam plans to have a helicopter on display along with other displays from the Sedalia Fire Department. There will be a Pettis County Ambulance on display, too.
The St Paul Lutheran  High School in Concordia will have a Prom Fundraiser.
It will be held on September 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The fundraiser will be at St Paul’s Lutheran High School Gym at 205 South Main in Concordia.  They’re now accepting donations for the silent auction.  Parents can shop while the kids play.  They’ll have a mini soccer camp from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for grades 1-8.  $5 children’s games and face painting from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  There will also be crafts and vendors, a bake sale, and a Schwan’s truck on site.  For more information, contact Mary Anderson at 660-463-2146.
There will be a Warrensburg Walk to Prevent Suicide.
It’ll be held on September 28, 2013 at the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E. Bring your non aggressive dog to the Bark in the Park. 

This will be held at Liberty Park, 1500 W 3rd St, Sedalia.  Take part in this year’s Bark in the Park/ Responsible Dog Ownership Day!  This year’s event will showcase and benefit the Sedalia Animal Shelter and Animal F.A.I.R.  There will be an adoption event and you can ask training experts about any issue you may be having with your puppy or dog.  Some of the other events include: Demonstrations of Agility (12:30), Obedience (11:30), AKC Rally®, Military Working Dogs (3 p.m.), and new this year, K9 Nosework® (1p.m.)! Dogs on Deployment: Support your troops by boarding their pets!  Pet Parade and Costume Contest:  10:15a.m. Pet Tricks 10:30a.m.  Pet Photography: Have your best friend photographed in the rose garden. Rabies Clinic: Vaccinate your pooch for $5: 2 – 4p.m.  Seminars:Flea/Heartworm (11a.m.), Canine Hospice Care (12p.m.), Adoption Adaption – how to successfully bring a new dog into the household (1:30), Canine Dental Care (2p.m.), Importance of Puppy/Dog Socialization (2:30p.m.). Take your dog through the 10-step AKC Canine Good Citizen test for $10! This special certification shows that your dog is a well-mannered member of the community – 12p.m.  There will be great food  provided by Country Kitchen and grooming demos to get tips on proper coat care. You can meet the  2013 Military Pet of the Year as well as a microchip clinic to ensure a safe return of Fido for $25: 2 – 4p.m. Bring your kids to the Children’s Area! They can take part in face painting, play in the bouncy house, make homemade dog toys, and take part in the pet parade and costume events with their best friends!

The Ward Memorial Baptist Church will host a smoked brisket dinner. 

It’ll take place on September 28 from 11:30 a.m. until the food runs out.  The church is on the corner of Pettis and Osage street.  This is a men’s fellowship event and a cash donation of $9 is requested.

Sedalia Boonslick Regional Library will be hosting a BTAG Movie Night Saturday the 28th from 5-7PM.

Boonslick Teen Advisory Group will meet on the 28th.  Ages 11-18 are welcome, as well as parents. The library will provide pizza and drinks.

The 14th Annual There is Hope Christian Ministries will have their Hog Roast and Pie Auction.
It will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, 664 East 16th street on September 28.  They will serve from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Tickets for adults are $8, children are $4, and 4 years of age and younger eat for free.  The funds raised will be used for the operation of the Maternity Residence, helping pregnant women and young mothers.  For more information or tickets, call 660-473-6159.
The Burns Free Will Baptist Church will have an Appreciation Celebration.
It will be held at the church, 207 East Pettis in Sedalia, in honor of Bishop and First Lady Calvin W Lewis.  Come celebrate as they show appreciation for this great man and woman of God.  Special guest orator for the 3:00 p.m. service will be the Apostle Larry B Aiken of the Memorial Missionary Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri.  Music will be provided by the MMB Ministry and dinner will be served following the 11:00 a.m. service.
