Sedalia's Weekend Events- Weekend of July 18

Here's a look at some of the events going on in our area this weekend.

The Missouri Veterans Home of Warrensburg is hosting a craft show.

The craft show will be held on July 18 and 19, going from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. It’ll be held at the Awaken Church, 11 SW265 Road (South 13 Highway). They’ll have games befitting the Alzheimer Unit, snacks for sale, and more.

The American Legion Riders Post 217 of Warsaw will have a car and bike show.

It’ll take place on July 19. There will be a live band, Tobacco Row, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Food and drink are available for purchase on site. Entry fees are $10 for cars, $10 for bikes. Entries begin from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., judging is from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the awards are from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Craft spaces are also available for $6. The Tipton Towne Square Days will be held on Saturday, July 19 on the Tipton Fairgrounds.

The Car Cruise will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Craft Show will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the ATV Rodeo will have racing at 7:00 p.m., and there will be a Barbecue Cook off as well as a Pet Parade. For more information, call Laurie at 660-672-2163.

AnimalFAIR will have an adoption event.

It’ll take place on July 19, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Tractor Supply in Sedalia.

AnimalFAIR has dogs available for adoption. All are really great, healthly, young dogs completely vetted and ready for a loving home. There will be a fundraiser hosted by the Moose Lodge 1494 on Saturday, July 19.

It’ll be held at the Lodge, 119 Winchester Drive. All proceeds will benefit PROP, aka Putting Roofs Over People. The Dinner is from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m, at a cost of $8. The Dance, featuring the music of Tobacco Row, will be a cost of $6, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. There will be horse races, a live auction, and a silent auction. Tickets in advance are available by calling the Lodge after 4:00 p.m. at 826-6631.

On Saturday, July 19, The Salvation Army of Sedalia is hosting a Chili Cookoff and Rummage Sale at their Community Center, 1200 East Broadway.

The rummage sale is open from 3pm to 7pm. In addition, there will be a silent auction for large ticket items from 5pm to 6pm, which is also when chili will be available for voting by sale attendees.

The American Legion Post 642 would like to invite you to a dinner.

The dinner will be on July 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event is a spaghetti dinner to benefit the color guard. The Legion is at 2016 West Main in Sedalia. For questions, call 827-2750.

The Mt Tabor United Methodist Church will host an Ice Cream Social.

It’ll be held on Saturday, July 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Come and enjoy homemade ice cream, desserts and fellowship. Mt Tabor Church is located just Southwest of Odessa, just off of Route M on Mt Tabor Road.
