Here are some of the events going on this weekend! 

The Kiwanis Trivia Night is coming up on Friday January 18 at the Salvation Army,  1200 East Broadway, at 7:00 p.m. 

The Kiwanis Trivia night is open to teams from two to eight members and they’re asking service clubs, schools, churches and families to come and test your knowledge.  The entry fee is $10 per person, and all proceeds will go to help fund youth programs in the Sedalia Community.  There will be a prize for the top team, as well as door prizes.  To enter your team, call Bob Milner at 660-827-5442 or email bobmilner@sbcglobal.net

Do you have a new baby in the family? Let us celebrate with you! 

Come to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sedalia on Sunday, January 20 at 3 pm. We’ll play new baby games, have gifts for you and your baby and then enjoy some light refreshments. We want to celebrate with your family.

The Osage Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will have an Introduction to Genealogy Workshop.

The program will be presented by Angela McComas, who works full time at the Mid Continent Public Library Midwest Genealogy Center in Independence.  It’ll be held on Saturday, January 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon.  It’ll be at the FSC Financial Lower Level,  2600 South Limit.  For more information, contact Ruthann Alexander at 826-8036 or Charlene Egbert at 829-0384

The Sedalia Branch of the Boonslick Regional Library is proud to host “Game Night.”

It’ll be held on Saturday, January 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for kids aged 9-11.  Various board and console games, as well as live action kooky bird launching will be enjoyed.  Food and drinks will be provided.  RSVP on or before Wednesday, January 17 by calling 827-READ or stopping by the library at 219 West 3rd street.
