Since things are kind of quiet here after the holidays, here's a look at what's coming up until the New Year.

There will be an “After Christmas” dance at the senior center.

The dance starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Clinton Senior Center, 970 E Sedalia Ave.  There will be music by Country Ordaras.

There will be a New Year’s Eve Celebration at the American Legion Building in Sweet Springs.

It’ll be held from 8:00 p.m. on with a cost of $10 per person or $15 a couple.  BYOB for drinks, there will be finger foods available and a TV on site to watch the ball drop.  Proceeds from the event go to the Mike Fizer Scholarship fund.

There will be a New Year’s Day parade.

The parade is organized by Terry Cockrell.  It’ll take place in downtown Sedalia, beginning at 6th and Ohio, going down to Main and then move west to Osage.  All Christmas entries are welcome, there is no cost to join.  Line up on South Ohio to West 7th and Massachusetts avenue.  The Parade will be at 3:00 p.m., the line up starts at 2:00 p.m.

The Shrine Club of Sedalia will have their monthly breakfast.

It’s open to the public and held at 1375 Elm Hills blvd.  It’ll happen on Saturday, January 4 from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.  They’ll serve eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, juice, milk or coffee for $6.  For to go orders, call 660-281-3619 or 826-6171.
