Sedalia’s Weekend Events – Weekend of December 15

Here are some of the activities and events going on this weekend!

The Jingle Bell Run, “5K for the Paws” will be in benefit for Owen Thomas.

This is a 5k run/walk on December 15.  It starts and ends at Fitter’s 5th Street Pub.  Register at Sedalia Body Shop, 1313 West 16th.  Pre-registration is $15, $20 on race day. All proceeds will benefit a Autism Service Dog for a local nine year old boy, Owen Thomas.  For further information, please feel free to contact John Maupins at 221-1410 or Aubrey Appleman at 619-4450.

Santa Claus will visit Sedalia. 

Santa will be at Valerie Bloess’s State Farm Office at 2611 S Limit, Sedalia, MO, on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Come celebrate Christmas with the Sedalia Chorale. 

Their Twilight Christmas Concert will take place on Saturday, December 15 at 5:00 p.m.  It’ll be held at the Broadway Presbyterian Church at 209 West Broadway.  Tickets are $9 in advance, and $10 at the door. Follow The Star will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

It’ll be a celebration of music for the holy family and it will take place on December 16.  The program will begin at 6 p.m. with musical selections from the Sacred Heart Students.  A free will offering will be taken to purchase a new keyboard and choir robes. Their goal is $4500.

St Paul’s is having their next regular baby shower. 

Do you have a new baby in the family? Let us celebrate with you! Come to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sedalia on Sunday, Dec 16 at 3 pm. We’ll play new baby games, have gifts for you and your baby and then enjoy some light refreshments. We want to celebrate with your family.

The I70 Cowboy Church will have their meeting this weekend.

Join us Sunday, December 16, for the I-70 Cowboy Church Fellowship & Worship Round-up.  We will meet at the Sweet Springs American Legion Building (corner of Marvia @ Miller – one block south of I-70 exit 66) beginning at Noon with a fellowship meal and music followed by a time of worship. The menu will include Ham and Casseroles.
