Downtown Sedalia was the starting point of one of the most anticipated races of the year, the Sedalia Criterium.  A heat advisory meant that temperatures were well into the upper nineties, and the heat index brought things well into the 100 degree range.  But, that didn't stop the dedicated from coming down and cheering on the racers. Bicyclists returned to the streets of Historic Downtown Sedalia Saturday (August 23). Competitors in eight categories put the pedal to the metal beginning at 4:00 pm and continuee under the lights until about 10:00 p.m. . Many people met where the racing began, on Ohio Avenue in front of the Pettis County Court House.

I got to go down there and set up a little spot for our radio stations, and here's some of the photos from the event.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth and everyone who came down to see the races!

Criteriumly yours,

Behka
