Police Take Man Into Protective Custody

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of West 2nd Street on Sunday in reference to a trespassing case. Police say the suspect was banging on the door of a residence.

Officers made contact with 23-year-old Michael Albert, who was found stumbling in the roadway of South Missouri Avenue. Police say Albert was highly intoxicated and was arrested for being in the roadway illegally and placed in 12-hour protective custody.

Albert was taken to the Pettis County Jail, fingerprinted and issued a court date.
