Sedalia Police: Murder Suspect in Custody

The suspect wanted in connection with the death of a Sedalia woman turned himself in to authorities on January 21.

Heather McClellan died from stab wounds she suffered in an assault at a Sedalia apartment on January 14. A warrant for the arrest of Justin K. Lewis was issued by the Pettis County Prosecutor late last week.

Sedalia Police say Lewis was taken into custody without incident. He is currently being held at the Pettis County Jail on charges of Murder 2nd, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond is set at $500,000.
