Around 5:50 Tuesday evening (August 16), Sedalia Police officers responded to the 400 block of West Pettis Street for a reported disturbance. A woman said she was assaulted by a male subject. Upon further investigation, the man was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. 45-year old Sean Sebastian Burke was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges of 2nd degree assault, resisting arrest, and 2nd degree property damage.

 

Around 9:20 Tuesday night (August 16), officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 3rd Street and South Missouri Avenue. The driver fled the vehicle and was not located at that time. However, the passenger in the vehicle turned out to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Arrested at the scene was 33-year old Audrey Willams. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail. No further details were listed in that report.

 

On Monday (August 15), officers took a report of a stolen phone at the Missouri State Fair Grounds. The victim stated her phone had been stolen on August 14th. She estimated the value of the phone at $679.00. There are no suspects at this time.

 

Around 4:30 in the morning last Saturday (August 13), Sedalia Police officers working security at the State Fair, were dispatched to the West end of the campgrounds for a subject who was passed out behind the wheel of his truck. The man was heavily intoxicated. Upon contact, the man exposed his genitals to the police officers. Officers attempted to take the man into protective custody but he assaulted two officers. The police than subdued the man with a WRAP device. 40-year old Ryan F. Hunt, of Arkansas City, KS, was taken to the Pettis County Jail for 3rd degree assault on a law officer and sexual misconduct. His bond was placed at $2,000.00, cash.
