Sedalia man arrested on warrants during a traffic stop

At 9:18 Friday morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 19th and Ingram for failure to signal a turn. A subsequent check on the occupants of the vehicle revealed one of them, identified as 27-year-old Matthew Parker of Sedalia, had an active Pettis County Warrant for receiving stolen property and a Johnson County Warrant for driving while intoxicated. At the time of the police report, Parker was in the Pettis County Jail pending bonds totaling $3,250.

Trespassing call results in arrest for the reporting party

At 9:46 Friday morning, Sedalia police investigated a reported case of possible trespassing at a residence in the 300 block of Engineer. Upon contact with the female resident, officers found she had a Pettis County Warrant. The police report states the woman was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $5000 bond on the warrant.

Sedalia police investigate a disturbance involving a child

According to a child's mother, someone attempted to take her child during a struggle in a parking lot at 1600 block of South Limit on Saturday afternoon. The incident happened after the woman and child had lunch with the other subject, who had left the area prior to the arrival of the police.

Thieves steal a pistol from a vehicle Sunday morning

According to a Sedalia police report, a female victim filed a theft complaint at 6:30 Sunday morning. The victim told officers that someone entered her vehicle through a sliding rear window sometime overnight and stole a Ruger .380 Pistol valued at $350. There were no suspects at news time.

Theft complaint filed Friday afternoon in the 1800 block of South Vermont

At 1:50 Friday afternoon, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a male victim in the 1800 block of South Vermont. The victim told officers sometime after he returned home at 3:00 that morning, someone stole his red Wildfire Scooter that he paid $500 for. There were no suspects.

Property damage reported in the 1000 block of East 6th

Around 1:00 Saturday afternoon, a victim in the 1000 block of East 6th filed a property damage complaint with the Sedalia Police Department. The victim reported that someone had thrown a brick through the back window of his 2006 Chrysler 300. There were no suspects.

Male victim files a property damage complaint on Clarendon Road

Just after 6:00 Friday evening, Sedalia police took a property damage report from a victim in the 2400 block of Clarendon Road. The victim told police that someone entered his shed and damaged several items sometime over the past week. There were no suspects at news time.
