The Sedalia Police Department received two new law enforcement tools last Friday (Nov. 1), and according to Sedalia Police Chief John DeGonia they were put right to work. The two additions to the force are of the furry, four-legged canine variety. Their names are Gallo and Charlie.

Chief DeGonia told KSIS the drug sniffing dogs, along with their handlers, officers Bill Conner and Travis Lorenz, were instrumental in a drug bust on Saturday, Nov. 2.DeGonia also noted the irony of the new K9 teams getting purchased by money acquired through previous drug busts in Sedalia.
