Sedalia Police were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. on September 10 to the 1300 block of S. Osage on a report of two intoxicated men that were dancing in the roadway. The caller also claimed that the men were attempting to get into her friend's car.

Police made contact with one of the suspects, 30-year-old Jose Antonio Villafana on the porch of a residence. According to a police report, Villafana was uncooperative and was taken into protective custody. He was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center due to his level of intoxication. Police say Villafana refused to get out of the patrol car, and when he was removed he head-butted an officer.

After being deemed fit for confinement, Villafana was taken to the Pettis County Jail for safekeeping. He also faces charges of fourth degree assault and resisting arrest.
