On May 1st, Sedalia Police officers took a report of sex crimes that were committed in the 200 block of East Saline Street. The victim was 11 years old. An investigation followed over the next several days. Last Thursday (May 12th), officers completed the investigation and arrested the suspect, identified as 36-year old George W. Sant Jr., of Sedalia. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on charges of first degree statutory rape, first degree statutory sodomy, and first degree child molestation. His bond was set at $250,000.00.

 

On Saturday morning around 10:30 (May 14th), officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of North Ohio Avenue. Contact was made with the driver and dispatch advised the driver had a suspended license and a warrant from the city of Belton, MO. 34-year old Brock Adam Simon was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. He was also in possession of Demerol and Methadone. He was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of state charges.

 

Around 7:15 Saturday evening (May 14th), officers took a report of a rape in the 1200 block of South Ohio Avenue. The victim stated the rape had occurred approximately 30 days ago. No further details were listed in that police report.

 

On Saturday (May 14th), Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a burglary that happened in the 28000 block of Highway AA, in Green Ridge. The burglary allegedly took place between May 8th and May 13th. A Title and a 65 inch Element flat screen TV were missing. The investigation is ongoing at this time….
