Around 1:32 in the morning of January 4th, in the 600 block of East 17th Street, officers responded to a report of property damage. Upon contact with the vicitm, the vicitm stated that someone had kicked in the door on the South side of the house. The value of the door was placed at about $120.00. There are no suspects at this time.

On January 4th, around 8:16 in the evening, in the area of West 14th Street and South Harrison Avenue, Sedalia Police arrested 19 year old Jose Luis Romero Jr. for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and for possession of marijauana and drug paraphenalia. Romero Jr. was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked and released pending state charges.

Last Thursday, on December 31st, around 7:11 that evening, in the area of West 16th Street and South Kentucky Avenue, police conducted a traffic stop. Arrested at the scene was 42 year old Terry G. Doyle, on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to signal a turn. Doyle was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $642.50 cash or surety.

Early in the morning of January 4th, around 1:37, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a driver for failing to use a turn signal. The driver was discovered to be in possession of marijauna. Arrested at the scene was 36 year old Angela Ilene Teeter and transported her to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released on a state charge of possession of marijauna.

Around 2:03 in the morning of January 1st, Sedalia Police arrested 20 year old Eric Makovskiy for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with bond set at $533.50 cash or surety.

On January 4th, in the area of West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue, police conducted a warrant check on a subject. Arrested at the scene was 34 year old Dustin S. Caldwell for the warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.

Around 4:20 in the afternoon on January 4th, in the 1900 block of South Washington Street, police officers arrived to assist the children's division with an abuse case involving two juveniles. The case worker stated that two children were abused by their grandmother, who has custody of the children. The children were placed with other family members. There is one suspect in the case. The two children had marks on their chests, arms, and legs. A Child Safe interview is being requested. There were no other details in the police report.

Around 9:30 this morning, Pettis County Deputies towed an abandoned vehicle from the area of Randall Road near the Katy Trail.
