Sedalia Man Sentenced For Sex Crimes Against Child

A Sedalia man has been sentenced to 10 years in the department of corrections for first degree statutory rape, and 10 years for first degree statutory sodomy.

Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Phillip Sawyer says the sentences for 37-year-old George Sant, Jr. will run concurrently.

Last May, police took a a report of sex crimes against an 11-year-old in the 200 block of East Saline Street. An investigation led to the arrest of Sant on May 12.
