Sedalia Man Arrested For Making Terrorist Threat on State Fair Community College

Pettis County Deputies arrested Richard Dean Thomas, of Sedalia, on charges of making a terroristic threat and harassment against State Fair Community College.

Thomas was released on Tuesday (July 21), but State Fair Community College issued the following statement via Facebook: "SFCC Alert [Sedalia]: Richard (Rick) Thomas, a community member, is not allowed to be on State Fair Community College campuses and has recently made threats against SFCC. Thomas was arrested the evening of July 20 by the Pettis County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) for making a terroristic threat and harassment against administration. He was released from the PCSD  and formal charges are being sought through the Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney's office."

Update: Noon, July 23, 2015

According to Sheriff Bond the threat that was made stemmed from a conversation Thomas had with an unidentified board member of State Fair Community College. The School Resource Officer has been monitoring the situation.
