On Saturday, Sept. 14, the Show Me Sound Chorus will present S.P.A. Day. Women of all ages and vocal skills are invited to a day of harmony and fun.

While this thing definitely interests me, I've never really been what you'd call a "serious singer."  I sang the hymns in church and I did a few musicals here and there in school, but I didn't take choir class or anything, I took orchestra instead.  So my singing abilities might be more accurately pointed to singing terribly for comic effect. I like to all it "character singing"  but I think the folks I work with prefer the term "goofy."

Anyway, I think a lot of us out there are really fond of singing, even if we think we're not great at it.  That's where this great S.P.A. day comes in.  These ladies are all about making music and having fun.

Don't worry about your skill level, this is all about fun with music and great people.  You can learn a song in 4 part a capella style, then perform for a live audience. Lunch will be provided. The event will be from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Northside Christian Church of Warrensburg. For more information or to register, call Connie Homoly at 660-422-6948. You can also email at Rosemaryevc7@gmail.com.

Warblingly yours,

Behka
