Joey + Rory's 2-year-old daughter, Indiana, is currently enrolled in a developmental center and pre-school in Tennessee where children with special needs are aided, and it seems to be helping. In a video posted Thursday morning (May 5) on Facebook, Rory shows Indy beginning to walk with a little bit of help.

Set in a field, Indy is holding onto big sister Heidi, who is aiding her in walking the length of the grass. Indy has a big smile on her face in the 11-second clip.

"...walking! (sort of)," Rory captions the video.

In a recent post at Rory's This Life I Live blog, he shares that since Indiana was born with Down Syndrome, Joey was planning to home school her when she got older.

“But life has changed that plan,” Rory writes. “I have written before about our desire to live our lives with ‘high hopes and low expectations’ … but during the month of January, when Joey and I decided we needed to start researching what and where the next-best option for school for Indy might be … we had no idea that God would lead us to a place called, of all things … ‘High Hopes’.”

Rory recalls showing a video of the state-of-the-art therapy center and preschool to Joey: “When I showed this video about their program to Joey, she wiped the tears from her eyes and with a beautiful smile said, ‘that’s the one honey… that’s the one.'”

Indiana celebrated her second birthday with her parents in February, just weeks before Joey passed away from her long battle with cancer. She was 40.
