Registration for the 2018 Camp Blue Sky will soon take place at State Fair Community College.

Registration will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 9:00 a.m. - noon in the Stauffacher Center in Sedalia.

Camp Blue Sky is described as a fine arts camp for children age 4 - 9th grade. Campers have the opportunity to draw, paint, sculpt, write, act, sing, dance, and learn about photography. The activities are led by professional teachers and artists.

The theme this year is Kartoon Krazy, which features cartoonists Mike Worley & Anthony Jappa from the Kansas City Young Audiences. They will present workshops about the art of cartooning, on Tuesday, July 31.

The camp is scheduled for July 30 - August 3 on the SFCC campus.

Each day will begin with an "arts in community" session at 8:15 a.m. and will close at 3:15 p.m.

This year, there are 10 classes in the main camp for 1st - 6th graders. The camp also includes Enrichment learning for 7th - 9th students.

There are two Kindergarten sessions and a Pre-school, which is limited to nine 4-year olds.

The two sessions for Kindergarten are scheduled for 8:15 -11:15 a.m. and 12:15 - 2:15 p.m. The Pre-school session will take place from 8:15 - 10:15 a.m.

All-day sessions for Camp Blue Sky cost $120, while the cost is $65.00 for Kindergarten, and $55.00 for Pre-school.
