Register Now for the Children’s Therapy Center Turkey Trot [INTERVIEW]
You’ve probably got the gist of what I do around here; I keep the websites updated with community events and charitable efforts. And believe me when I say that Sedalia definitely has a charitable bent. One event that’s coming up is a huge benefit for the Center for Human Services and the Children’s Therapy Center. The Children’s Therapy Center is signing up runners and walkers for their Turkey Trot. The Children’s Therapy Center’s 5th Annual 5k Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the County Distributing Company (Budweiser) 1800 Eagle View Drive. The first 75 entries will receive a ticket the 41st annual ham breakfast at the Sedalia Country Club, running gloves and beverages. The first 500 people registered will receive running gloves. The registration fee is $20 per person.
I spoke to one of the organizers of the walk/run and the infamous Ham Breakfast, Susan Mergen, about some more of the details.
Forms may be requested by calling 826-4400 ext. 368 or go online at chs-mo.org and click on the events page.
They are also looking for volunteers to assist with the event. Call Susan at 660-826-4400 ext. 368 for more information or to receive a registration form. Registration is due by Nov. 12. Get your family together and join in on the fun!
