When you start walking on the grass and it crunches under foot you come to this conclusion-It's Fall and we desperately need some rain. Both are fulfilled this week.

After a very warm early October day today with highs 10 to 15 degrees above normal in the mid 80's, conditions will become stormy the rest of the week. Thunderstorms are expected to move into the area tomorrow evening with several rounds expected between tomorrow night and Saturday. 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts are expected through the week. This may lead to localized flash flooding and flooding along area river, creeks, and streams in some areas of the state, especially along the the Missouri-Kansas state line.

As of now rain is in the forecast through this Sunday.
