Pro Bowlers Dexter McCluster and Brandon Albert will not be with the Chiefs in 2014, along with fellow starters Geoff Schwartz and Tyson Jackson.NFL free agency started March 11 at 3 p.m. By 5 p.m. the Kansas City Chiefs lost four starters from last year and signed no one. Two of the players, McCluster and Albert, were Pro Bowlers last year.

Albert agreed to a new contact with the Miami Dolphins according to NFL.com. Albert was the Chiefs starting left tackle last year. It is not a surprise the Chiefs let Albert sign with another team, because they drafted Eric Fisher with the first overall pick last year. Opposite tackle Donald Stephenson also played well last year while Albert was injured.

McCluster agreed to a three-year 12 million dollar deal with the Tennessee Titans according to NFL.com. McCluster went to the Pro Bowl last year as a return man. It is also not a surprise the Chiefs lost out on McCluster because of the teams current salary cap problems. McCluster is good player but probably overpaid by the Titans, even if he is coming off of a career year.

Jackson agreed to terms with the Atlanta Falcons according to NFL.com. Jackson was the Chiefs starting defensive end. He was drafted by the Chiefs in 2009 draft, third overall. For most of his career he has under performed considering where he was drafted. Over the past two years he was not a bad player, but he was far from great. His career as been the definition of mediocre with the Chiefs.

Schwartz agreed to terms with the New York Giants according to NFL.com. Schwartz has bounced around the NFL for most of his career. He was surprise player for the Chiefs last yer. He played in multiple positions along the line as player were injured. He found a nice starting spot with the Chiefs at guard, by the end of the season. He is a player I would have liked to see with the Chiefs for a few more years, but the Chiefs salary cap situation has handicapped the team in free agency, so far.
