Police Respond to Burglary in Progress, Man Arrested

A 23-year-old man was arrested on a number of charges, including 1st Degree Burglary, Property Damage and Stealing Animals, after Sedalia Police were dispatched to investigate a burglary in progress.

According to Sedalia Police, officers were called to the 1600 block of East 9th Street Sunday at 7:01 p.m. The caller said the suspect broke into the residence then ran out the back door when he heard police sirens.

Police say officers searched the area and located 23-year-old Daryl John Rasa, who reportedly ran and was stopped after being tased by police.

Rasa was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
