On the evening of Friday, December 18th, around 8:00, officers conducted a traffic stop at West Broadway and Industrial Drive. The driver of the vehicle had been observed driving erratically and weaving in and out of the his lane of travel. Upon contact, the driver was issued a sobriety test and failed. The male suspect was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold. The suspect refused a breathalyzer test and a warrant was obtained to conduct a blood test. The suspect was being held in the county jail pending state charges of a DWI.

Also, last Friday morning, around 8:00, there was a theft reported of two enclosed trailers that had been parked at 3100 Brianna Blvd. The victim stated that his and his co-workers trailers had been stolen sometime overnight. Both trailer had misc. tools in them. One trailer was valued at $15,000.00 and was later located in Lone Jack, Missouri along with a stolen truck. The co-worker's trailer was valued at $25,000.00, along with the tools. That trailer was later located in Kansas City by KC Police, and the tools were discovered missing. There are no suspects at this time.

On Saturday, December 19th, around 9:05 that morning, there was an assault reported in the 400 block of North Grand. The suspect allegedly entered the residence, unbidden, and hit the victim in the face while she was sleeping. The suspect then left the residence. The female had a bloody nose and a split-lip. The victim's mother, wishes to press charges for the assault on her daughter. Thr suspect was unnamed in the police report.

Also, on Saturday morning, around 10:50, there was a burglary report in the 1200 block of South Massachusettes. The victim stated that sometime between last Thursday and Saturday morning, someone had entered the residence and taken items belonging to the previous tenant. It should be noted, that the previous tenant had been evicted. There were no signs of forced entry, and at the time of the police report, the previous tenant had not been located.

On Saturday, in the 1500 block of East 4th Street, there was a report of a victim laying on the couch and not breathing. The Sedalia Fire Department and other personnel arrived at the scene and attempeted life-saving procedures. The victim could not be ressessitated and was prounounced dead at the scene. The coroner was contacted and the body was taken to Heckart Funeral Home.

Last Friday, just before midnight, in the 1800 block of South Barrett avenue, a victim stated that he returned home to find his house in dissarray. Three televisions and a TV stand were discovered to be missing. The total value of the missing items was estimated at $3,267.00.

Around 8:40, last Friday evening, there was a theft reported at Wal-Mart, located at 3201 West Broadway in Sedalia. The vicitm stated that the suspect had taken his vehicle from the Lowe's parking lot around 7:30 that evening, without the owner's permission. The vehicle was later found in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

And on Sunday, December 20th, around noon, a vicitm stated that the passenger side window in here vehicle had been broken out. She reported that she discovered glass on the inside of the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is ongoing....

Two more thefts were reported on Sunday as well. The first occurred in the 600 block of Wilkerson Avenue around 10:55 in the morning. A black, Tracer brand wheelchair was reported stolen from the female victim's front porch. The value of the wheelchair was placed at $250.00. There was no suspect given in the police report.

The second theft was reported around 9:52 in the morning on Sunday, in the 1600 block of South Carr. Officers responded to a supect's residence, on a reference of a theft from Game Stop earlier in the day. Upon contact, officers noticed the odor of marijauna eminating from the residence. Upon investigation, officers located marijauna and drug paraphenalia. The suspect was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of charges.

Early Sunday morning, around 1:17, officers responded to East 24th Street and South New York for a report of a traffic accident. Upon contact, the driver was discovered not to be insured. However, she was intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. Ashley Jean Mullins was arrested for a DWI and given a court date in February of next year. Bond was set at $533.50 cash or surety.

Last Friday afternoon, around 3:00, officers took a report of forgery in the 200 block of West 2nd Street. The victim stated that a female subject cashed a check at his business, however the checking account number does not exist. The amount of the check was for $589.43. The female listed on the check could not be located at newstime and the investigation is underway....

Early Sunday evening, around 8:00, in the 1500 block of East 5th Street, officers took a report of a theft. The vicitm stated that someone had stolen his excercise machine, valued at $600.00. The machine was last seen on Saturday.

Around 10:00 Sunday evening, officers responded to a report of property damage at Phillips 66, located at 120 East 16th Street. The complaintint stated that a suspect broke a flower vase worth approx. $15.00. The complaintint was able to give officers a physical description of the suspect, but officers were unable to locate the suspect at this time.

Pettis County Sheriff's Reports

According to a press release from the Pettis County Sheriff's Department, Pettis County Deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers located 31 year old Michael Moore for several active warrants. Moore was arrested after a lengthy search, following his fleeing from several law enforcement agencies for a two month period. Moore was found hiding in a bathroom of a local motel on South 65. Officers arrested Moore, without incidence and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a no bond Parole and probation violation warrant. Along with three active Pettis County warrants (which had a total bond of $6,510.00), a no bond warrant, and a warrant with a $300.00 bond, out of Benton County.

Around 9:00 Sunday night, deputies responded to a report of a physical disturbance on 32nd Street, just West of the Maplewood Subdivision, in Sedalia.
Deputies were called to the 22000 block of Ryan Road, in Sedalia, on Saturday evening, to respond to suspicious person in the area.

Last Friday, Pettis County deputies took a report of theft and property damage in the 30000 block of Salem Road in Pettis County,

Deputies took a report of an attempted stealing insidence that occurred in the 13000 block of Lam Monte Road. Evidence was also collected at the scene.
