Pat Green's new album is finished, and fans are finally getting to hear it ... some of it. The Texas-bred singer tapped Lyle Lovett for a song called 'Girls From Texas.' Listen to the breezy ballad via this exclusive ToC premiere of the lyric video!

It's not clear when or how Green will release the follow up to 'What I'm For,' his last studio album of original material. He tells the Dallas Observer that he's between labels and in discussions with a number of different people, including the executives at the label that helped him release 'Songs We Wish We'd Written II.'

Minnesota gals sure fill out a sweater, but the girls from Texas are just a little bit better,” Green sings early in this song before Lovett comes in for the second verse.

But if you can find a Lonestar boy you’d better get her / ‘Cause the girls from Texas are just a little bit better,” Green adds before a Dobro solo.

While the lyrics appear on the screen, background images from around the country show symbols of each state the two men croon about. 'Girls From Texas' will be available Sept. 16.
