Before I tell you about the Johnson County Fire Auxiliary Spaghetti dinner and auction, let me tell you that I grew up in the rural areas of Knob Noster in Country Acres, and at one point, we had lightening hit our house and it caused a fire. The Knob Noster Volunteer Department came out and made sure all was okay. Ever since that moment, I realized the importance of having a good fire department around. Whether it be city owned or volunteer, I appreciate our firefighters.

This weekend, I'm inviting you out to the 9th Annual Johnson County Fire Auxiliary Spaghetti Dinner and Auction at the Johnson County Fairgrounds Community Building this Saturday, Mar. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. I will be serving as the master of ceremonies for this event.
