The Olde Glory Days are back in Clinton this week, a week ahead of the 4th of July schedule in order to book Lee Greenwood, the country music artist known for "God Bless the U.S.A."  They’ve got plenty of entertainment June 27-30. This year's theme is "Proud To Be An American." There will be a carnival each day of the event around the square in Clinton.

Thursday, June 27, will feature the Veteran’s Dinner at the Elk’s Lodge banquet from 4-7 p.m; Great American Duck Races at 1 and 5 p.m.; Office Olympics on the West side of the Courthouse; Solutions Action Sports (BMX Bikes) at 1:30 and 5:30 p.m.; rib eating contest at 8:15 and the Texaco Country Showdown on the Mainstage at 8:30 p.m.

Friday, June 28: The Information Booth will be open on the south side of the Courthouse from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. with the pet show on the south side stage at 10 a.m.; 18th Annual Ike Parker Memorial Fine Arts Show on the North side of the Square in Kreisler’s Breezeway from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.; there will be entertainment on the south side stage from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the night will be highlighted by Lee Greenwood playing at 9 p.m. presented by Jim Raysik Inc and the Clinton Arts Council.

Saturday, June 29 will have the pancake breakfast at the Clinton Fire Department from 7 until 9:30 a.m.; the Katy Trail 5K Run/Walk will have registration at 6 and the run at 7:30 at the Katy Trail head; Show Your Wheels Car Show will be at Hawthorn Bank parking lot at the corner of Green and 3rd Streets from 8 until 1 p.m; there will be a grand parade at 10 a.m.; the Wiener Dog Races will be at the empty lot at 3rd and Franklin at 2 p.m.; and the Bob Seger Tribute Band, Silver Bullet will play at 9 p.m.

Sunday, June 30 will have the Community Worship Service at 7:15 a.m. at the Courthouse and then the All-School Reunion at the Clinton High School from 10:30 am. Until 3 p.m.; Frisbee Golf will be at the Artesian Park at 1 p.m. ; Gospelfest at the Benson Center from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m.; the ice cream social from 5-8p.m. and the Mega Fireworks Display will be at 9 p.m.
