In some parts of the country, basketball has gained a homecoming celebration of its own. Over in Hughesville, their big game means a lot to them!  The Mustangs are hosting the Cole Camp Bluebirds coming up on Jan 17.

Getting in the spirit for this time of year, often referred to as "Courtwarming" it includes rallies, king and queen coronations, and other activities typically associated with football homecoming. The Northwest High School will have their Courtwarming Dinner.  It’ll be held on Friday, Jan. 17 at 5:00 p.m.

The menu will consist of BBQ beef and pork, baked beans, baked potatoes, cole slaw, applesauce, bread, dessert and a drink.  The Northwest Mustangs will be playing the Cole Camp Bluebirds that evening.  And as you know, these two friendly rivalries are ready to play some ball!

These teams are ready for a great game, and you definitely shouldn't miss it! Adult admission is $7.50 in advance, or $8 at the door, and children aged 6-11 get in for $4.50 .  You’re invited to join them for a meal while attending the game.

Courtwarmingly yours,

Behka
