National Toy Hall of Fame Releases List of 12 Toys Up For 2015 induction

Remember those old toys you played with as a kid? The National Toy Hall of Fame has released a list of 12 iconic toys up for induction. Even these may not be the toys you grew up with, its seems as if these passed the grade to make it to the finals this year.

American Girl dolls, Battleship, the coloring book, Jenga, the Playmobil series, puppets, scooter, the Super Soaker, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line, the spinning top, Twister, and Wiffle BallU are up for induction.

To get into the NTHOF, there are four criteria that need to be met: longevity, icon-status, discovery, and innovation.

The Strong’s National Toy Hall of Fame is located in Rochester, New York. The hall will announce which two toys will be a part of the Class of 2015 on Nov. 5.

If you missed out on the inductees for last year, the class of 2014 included bubbles, little green army men, and the Rubik's cube were all inducted into the hall.
