Rifle season has come to an end and black powder season is about to begin.  The season has been changed this year to include crossbow, pistol with a barrel length of 14" or less, a spear with a name I can't pronounce and, of course, muzzleloader.  It should be a great alternative methods season.

The deer harvest was up 15,000 statewide prior to doe season.  However, Pettis County was down almost 500.  With the increase of Bluetounge and EHD impacting our deer population, it will be interesting to see what changes we'll see to our tag limits next season.  With that said, the "four point" rule is working, because I have seen more good 130 - 150 point bucks this year than I have seen in a long time.

We are gearing up for our Whitetails Unlimited Banquet, with tickets going on sale Dec. 1.  The banquet will be held at the MEC Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.  This banquet funds MO Kids Outdoors and our events throughout the year, including our new Wounded Warrior Hunt.

You have to get your tables prior to the banquet since we won't be selling them at the door.  Tickets are available for $35 each.  Tables start at $200 and include eight tickets and your group/organization's name on a table topper.

We'll have three different gun tables at $500, $750 and $1000.  Those include eight tickets, special seating, and a hat.  The buyer of the tickets will also get their choice of pistol or long gun.  Depending on the table, each table has two different choices.

Tune in for more ticket information, or come see me at Stone Laser Imaging at 209 S. Ohio in Sedalia.  Get your tickets fast because they sell out every year!  Thanks for your support of MO Kids Outdoors.
