This year is the 111th Missouri State Fair, and this is my 14th year covering the events. of The first day of the Fair is one of my favorites since everything is brand new and you get to see everything come to life.

This is also a great day to get great deals with 2 Buck Bonanza. It's always interesting to see the lines for the corn dogs on the first day, but people are very patient and have been waiting a whole year since the last time the sweet taste of corn dogs were presented to them.

The weather is a little on the overcast side, but hopefully that won't interfere with all the fun.

So far I have explored the Ag Building where you can get German Roasted Nuts, Mackinac Fudge and honey ice cream. Today is a great day to smell the ham and bacon they are judging.

I'll be introducing Curtis Grimes at the Bud Tent and showing the ropes to Rob this afternoon, before driving the Boot Scootin' Buggy in the parade. Thanks by the way to Warehouse Tire for the four fresh tires. If you hit a snag while at the Fair, Warehouse Tires can check your vehicle out.

Here's hoping you come out and experience the first day.

I took some photos of the Corn Dog Stand lines. Which corn dog stand is your favorite?
