A Pettis County man was arrested on charges including trafficking, delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful use of a weapon after a search warrant was executed on Alexander Rd.

The Pettis County Sheriff's Office says the Mid-Missouri Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force opened an investigation April 18 into large amounts of methamphetamine being shipped to a residence on the north end of Pettis County. Authorities arrested Richard Buckner following the execution of the search warrant. Buckner was reportedly in possession of large amounts of methamphetamine, digital scales, packing materials, drug paraphernalia and a hand gun.

Buckner was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail. A $50,000 cash or surety warrant was later issued. The case remains under investigation.
