Meet Rob Edwards, Our New KIX 105 Morning Show Host

So if you're reading this, chances are that you're wondering "Who the heck is this guy and where did he come from?!?!" Well, I'm Rob Edwards, the new guy! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I just moved to town from Port Huron, Michigan, about an hour outside of Detroit, where I've lived for the last 10 years. I've been working in radio for literally my entire adult life (I started my first radio job on my 18th birthday).

Now, there are three things that I really love. The first would be sports. I am obsessed with all sports, especially my Detroit teams. I bleed Detroit Lions Honolulu blue. Yeah, it's been a pretty miserable life as a Lions fan.

The second thing would be that I am a huge nerd. I love comic books, card games, fantasy movies and all kinds of geeky stuff. To give you an idea, I own giant posters of Spider-Man and Gollum from Lord of the Rings.

The third and most important thing is that I LOVE food. I actually even went to culinary school I love it so much! I'm all about trying new foods, and I've had everything from escargot (snails) to alligator burgers. My favorite foods are BBQ ribs and chicken, so I think I should be in pretty good shape here in Sedalia, since it's right in between the two BBQ capitals of the world: K.C. and St. Louis.

One reason I'm really excited to move here is to discover some cool new restaurants. I really want to find somewhere that's going to be "my place" to eat. Back home, there was a place I had breakfast at every Friday, and a pizza and subs joint where I had eaten all 70 items on the menu, which they gave me a plaque in the restaurant for.  I'm definitely looking forward to exploring the restaurant scene here.
