Man Arrested After Allegedly Squatting in Sedalia Residence

Sedalia Police say a 53-year-old man was arrested for trespassing on October 6 after being found in a residence in the 500 block of East 2nd Street. 

Police say they were called by a person hired to clean the residence who encountered the suspect, identified as Corey Dean Elder. The caller told police that the suspect left after being told that police were being called. When police arrived, they found Elder walking away from the residence. They say Elder refused to obey officers' orders.

Elder was arrested and booked into the Pettis County Jail.
