There is certainly a lot of activities going on in our area this weekend. Here is a snapshot of some of the events.

Breakfast at American Legion

Join the Sedalia American Legion for an all-u-can-eat breakfast at the Sedalia American Legion at 2016 West Main in Sedalia. The breakfast will be sausage, eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, milk, juice and coffee on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 8-11 a.m.

All for $6 (children under 5 $3)

Register Your Children for Camp Blue Sky
Registration for Camp Blue Sky is scheduled from 9 a.m. til 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, in the Stauffacher Center on the campus of State Fair Community College in Sedalia.

Held July 27-July 31, 2015 on the SFCC Campus, Camp blue Sky is a fine arts camp for children ages four through grade nine. Campers draw, paint, sculpt, write, act, sing, dance and experiment with photography- all lead by professional teaching artists.

This year the theme is "Art is a Mad Science’ with an emphasis on creativity in problem-solving and inventing. Guest artists will be on hand throughout the week, plus two inter-active performances from Kansas City Young Audiences.

An ‘arts in community’ session launches each morning at 8:15 and closes the day at 3:15 p.m. Two kindergarten sessions are from 8:15 until 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Pre-school for four years is scheduled from 8:15 until 10:15 a.m.

The all-day camp fee is $120, kindergarten fee is $60 and the fee for pre-school is $55.

Spring Rummage and Bake Sale at Christ & Trinity Lutheran Church

The Christ and Trinity Women of the ELCA will have a Spring Rummage and Bake Sale on Saturday, April 11 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Christ & Trinity Lutheran Church at 3201 Southwest Blvd. (just east of Skyline Elementary)

ChildSafe Adult Egg Hunt

11th Annual Adult Egg Hunt for the benefit of Child Safe at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on Saturday, April 11. Gates Open at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30. Advanced tickets are available at Warehouse Tire and Bryant Motors are $25.00 and $35.00 at the door. Also, a chance to win a 2015 Dodge Dart courtesy of Bryant Motors.

Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball Game

The Black and Gold Exhibition match of Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball will be on April 11.Admission is free to students and the public, and there will be a meet and greet with the players right after the game. Prizes will be given away, including a Samsung Tablet and Autographed basketballs. The game will be held in the Fred E Davis Multipurpose Center on the campus of State Fair Community College. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
