After picking up big wins over Williams Baptist College and No. 3-ranked Freed-Hardeman University, for the first time in program history, the William Woods University men's basketball team was awarded by being ranked No. 25 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll.

The Owls are on pace for an historic season, as they are well on its way to setting new program records in wins and American Midwest Conference (AMC) victories. They've already set the longest win streak in program history (six), Deon Pettigrew set the new single-game record with 35 points and the team upset No. 3-ranked FHU, for the first time in history.

As a team, the Owls are nationally ranked in the top 25 in 11 different categories, while individually, four players rank in the top 25 in multiple categories.

Keyaire Marshall, a freshman on the William Woods University men's team and a former basketball and football standout at Sacred Heart is a key player in the success. Marshall has played in 15 of 18 games this season.
