St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sedalia will present their annual Living Last Supper and Living Crucifixion performances at the school gym on April 11 and April 12.

"This is our twelfth year," said Ruth Schlomer with St. Paul's Lutheran Church. "We have live actors that portray the disciples, and we do a tableaux of Leonardo DaVinci's painting of The Last Supper. What happens is they're all frozen, and then one at a time they come to life and do a little monologue, and then freeze back up again, so there's that constant look of this painting of years ago. Then we do an intermission, and our second act is our Living Crucifixion."

The group Faith in Action will also be performing during the Living Last Supper & Living Crucifixion. "It's kind of a stylized movement group," said Schlomer. "We don't really dance, but it's more movement to song. They kind of break it up and give the guys on stage a little break."

Doors will open at 6:30 each night on April 11 and April 12. The show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. For additional information, St. Paul's Lutheran Church can be reached by phone at 660-826-1164.

"It's very different," said Schlomer. "I've never seen anything like it, locally."
