A 'Tornado' was unleashed on the 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' set Wednesday night (Sept. 26), as Little Big Town performed the title track of their latest studio album for the very first time on television during the popular late night talk show.

The country quartet must have coordinated their wardrobe just before taking the stage, because all four members appeared in all-black attire for the dramatic performance. Member Karen Fairchild once again takes the lead on their new radio single, with the remaining members providing the flawless harmonies that have become the trademark sound for the Grammy Award-nominated band.

"We were really trying to capture the live energy when we were recording," LBT's Phillip Sweet exclusively tells Taste of Country Nights host Jeremy Robinson of the sonic departure of 'Tornado' in contrast to past albums. "We all laid the tracks down all together with our band and sang at the same time. I think you feel that -- what you’re talking about. We were really just doing what we do every night, going out to play a show."

'Tornado,' Little Big Town's fifth studio album which carries the same name as the song, was released on Sept. 11 and sold more than 112,000 copies in its first week. The band's recent debut at No. 1 on the country albums chart gave Little Big Town their strongest first week sales numbers for their decade-long career, thanks in large part to their first chart-topping single, 'Pontoon.' The album's title track will officially go to adds at country radio on Oct. 1.
